Baramulla, Sep 13: A mega function under the banner of ‘Jan Abhiyaan’ was organised at Bothapathri and Nagin areas of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The aim of the Programme was to carry a reach out in such areas where people especially belonging to Gujjar and Bakerwal communities seasonally migrate with their live stock and remain out of touch with the Block and District Headquaters for a period of six month.
Its first kind of this programme where Block level officers visited such a backward and faraway place from District Headquater.This Jan Abhiyaan programme was conducted in Botapathri and Nagin areas of Gulmarg under the chairmanship of ACD Baramulla Yar Ali Khan wherein he awared the general masses and requested the officers of line departments to take care of people of such a far flung Areas when they used to visit your office we should have ist hand information regarding such disadvantage group .The People of Botha pathri Naggin and adjoining seasonal behks highlighted their demand for drinking water,Solar lights ,Eco friendly paths to get free from mud ,opening of seasonal school in May to November instead of september to october ,Eco friendly toilets ,renewal of licences of different activities of tourism ,Construction of ponds and dipping vets in each behk Providing of MDM and Anganwadi nutration in Behks during seasonal period ,regular health check up of wards ANC check up ,Providing of benefits of schemes of Animal Husbandary and sheep Husbandry ,Providing of Ration on nearest store in Tangmarg during seasonal period ,Providing of basic minimum facilities in Behks ,Providing of waterproof tents for seasonal schools ,shifting of Range officer from Tangmarg to Baramulla .
Chairperson Block Development Council Narwah Mir Iqbal and Bramulla shamshada Begum also highted and endrosed the demands of local public
All the Block and Tehsil Level officer of line departments Agriculture ,Revenue Education ,Information ,Health Animal husbandry, sheep ,Forest ICDS and other participated in the programme.100 income certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries of Baramulla and Narwah
ACD Assured the people that demands pertaining to overall development of the area shall be taken up with concerned department for early redressal
People appreciated the role Rural Development and Panchayati raj for reaching to unreached people and targeting at the aim of taking governance at the doorstep of people and delivering public services in an efficient and hassel free manner and people also expressed gratitude of the administration for conducting such a reach out programme .
