In a press statement Zonal President Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum zone Villagam Kupwara *SAHIL BASHIR* has said that the organisation is struggling for the honour and status of the teachers and will not leave any stone unturned to safeguard the dignity of teachers
He Said Trainings are an integral part of the scheme of things as far as the capacity building of teachers is concerned. Trainings besides honing the skills of teachers update them with latest trends in the world of education. Having said so, if different yardsticks are used for different categories of teachers, then a wedge is created. Off late the IMPACT training programme The directorate of SAMAGRA Shikshya Abhiyan has issued instructions and subsequently clarifications vis-a-vis this training but still ambuigity persists. There is a lot of confusion among grade II & grade III teachers regarding IMPACT training.
Zonal President President, Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum, Mr Sahil Bashir has voiced his concern on the issue and has urged the department to come clear on the issue. While reiterating the importance of capacity building in teachers, Mr Sahil Bashir said that Grade II and Grade III teachers have through their sternous efforts taken the department in a progressive direction. The ever improving Secondary and Higher Secondary results are a stark proof to the fact that these teachers have worked tremendously hard at elementary level. Expressing the hope that the department will address the brewing resentment among teachers,
He said that teachers forum will do whatever it takes to safeguard the dignity and honour of teachers and will not allow any body to play with their sentiments. The President sought the personal intervention of Worthy Principal Secretary Education and urged the employee friendly officer to issue directions to the concerned quarters so that the prevalent confusion is cleared & things are prevented from snowballing into a crisis.
