Dr. Shah Aaqib Aslam: A Rising Name in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine in Kashmir

Dr. Shah Aaqib Aslam completed his MBBS from Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, followed by an MD in Dermatology from the same institution. Further enhancing his expertise, he pursued a fellowship in Aesthetics, reflecting his commitment to advancing in modern dermatological practices.

He has served as a Senior Resident at GMC Srinagar, including SMHS Hospital, and later at Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital (JVC). After his tenure at JVC, Dr. Aaqib established Qderma – The Skin Clinic in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, with a vision to bring world-class dermatology and aesthetic services to Kashmir.

His clinic is equipped with high-end, state-of-the-art dermatological lasers and aesthetic technologies, comparable to leading centers in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai. These include advanced systems such as Alma Soprano and Ultracel Q+, among others, aiming to provide cutting-edge treatments within the valley.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Aaqib was honored with the Emerging Young Dermatologist & Aesthetician of the Valley award at the Big Doctors Awards last year. The award was presented by the then Secretary of Health, Shri Abid Rashid.

Apart from his clinical work, Dr. Aaqib has also made significant academic contributions. He conducted research on skin-related issues among drug addicts, highlighting key dermatological signs that can aid in early identification and rehabilitation. His work has been widely acknowledged and published in platforms such as Outlook India, various national publications, and several dermatology and psychiatry journals.
