Baramulla, Jul 16 According to local news agency (GNS): Amid a spike in the COVID19 positive cases in the district, authorities have clamped Section 144 complimented with Section 34 of DDMA across this north Kashmir’s frontier district.
A notification in this regard, of which a copy lies with GNS, maintains that there has been a sharp rise in the positive cases over past few days and several cases have been reported from the areas outside/buffer zones and in towns also.
“In order to contain the further spread of COVID19, it has become imperative to impose severe restrictions in terms of Section 144 CrPC and Section 34 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and therefore restrictions are being impose with immediate effect,” the notification reads.
All shops/business establishments in the District including main towns of Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan, Kunzer, Tangmarg, Uri, Watergam, Rohama and Dangiwacha shall remain closed, even as there shall be complete restrictions on all types public transport, the notification reads.
All the relevant law enforcement agencies are meanwhile asked “to ensure strict implementation of restrictions.”
