Winter Remedial Classes : Shah Rasool Memorial Welkin Educational Trust Sopore -School Page School Among First to Implement Fee-Free Sessions, Chairperson Hails Academic Benefits for Students

SRM Welkin Sopore School has commenced remedial classes for its students, following a recent government order permitting private educational institutions across Kashmir to hold such sessions during the winter break.

The directive explicitly prohibits schools from charging any additional fees for these voluntary classes, which are intended to provide supplementary instruction.

Speaking to The Media, Baseema Aijaz, Chairperson of the leading North Kashmir institution, welcomed the decision. “This is an excellent initiative. The children will benefit academically, and since parents are already paying fees for these months, it is only fair that instruction continues,” she said.

Baseema added that the school began the sessions today and has already received a positive response from its students. She expressed hope that the programme would yield significant educational gains.
