Kup 28 Nov: Senior AIP leader and Spokesperson Firdous Baba, express deep concern and solidarity with the MGNREGA workers of Kupwara district, who are facing severe hardships due to the unjust delay in their material payments since 2019. Firdous Baba said. “The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act is a lifeline for rural laborers, designed to provide dignified employment and financial security to the most vulnerable sections of our society. However, the prolonged withholding of payments by the Rural Development Department (RDD) has pushed these hardworking individuals into a cycle of debt and despair.”
This is not merely an administrative lapse; it is a blatant disregard for the rights and well-being of our people. The AIP stands firmly with these laborers and condemns the inaction of the authorities. We urge Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the Director of RDD Kashmir, and the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara to intervene immediately and ensure the release of all pending payments without further delay. The workers’ demand for clearance within the stipulated time and must be met to alleviate their financial distress. Mr. Baba further said that AIP calls upon the government to prioritize transparency, accountability, and timely disbursal in all welfare schemes. We will continue to amplify the voices of the marginalized and hold those in power responsible for such failures. The people of Kashmir deserve better—justice delayed is justice denied.

یہ محض انتظامی کوتاہی نہیں ہے۔ یہ ہمارے لوگوں کے حقوق اور فلاح و بہبود کو نظر انداز کر نے کی کوشش ہے۔ اے آئی پی ان مزدوروں کے ساتھ مضبوطی سے کھڑی ہے اور حکام کی بے عملی کی مذمت کرتی ہے۔ ہم لیفٹیننٹ گورنر منوج سنہا، وزیر اعلیٰ عمر عبداللہ، آر ڈی ڈی کشمیر کے ڈائریکٹر اور کپواڑہ کے ڈپٹی کمشنر سے فوری مداخلت کرنے اور بغیر کسی تاخیر کے تمام زیر التواء ادائیگیوں کی اجرائی کو یقینی بنانے کی اپیل کرتے ہیں۔ مزدوروں کی جانب سے مقررہ وقت کے اندر ادائگی کا مطالبہ اور ان کی مالی پریشانی کو دور کرنے کے لیے اسے پورا کیا جانا چاہیے۔ مسٹر بابا نے مزید کہا کہ اے آئی پی حکومت سے مطالبہ کرتی ہے کہ وہ تمام فلاحی اسکیموں میں شفافیت، جوابدہی اور بروقت ادائیگی کو ترجیح دے۔ ہم پسماندہ لوگوں کی آواز کو بلند کرتے رہیں گے اور اس طرح کی ناکامیوں کا ذمہ دار اقتدار میں رہنے والوں کو ٹھہرائیں گے۔ کشمیر کے لوگ بہتر کے مستحق ہیں- انصاف میں تاخیر انصاف سے انکار ہے۔
