Kistawar, Nov 21  : As a major breakthrough, the Jammu & Kashmir Police District Kishtwar has solved a chilling blind murder case involving the deaths of a woman and her two children in Jisher Drabshalla. Initially reported as an accidental fire, the investigation uncovered it to be a premeditated murder.

“On November 11, 2024, a fire was reported at the house of Khursheed Ahmed in Jisher Drabshalla, resulting in the deaths of his first wife, Nazia Begum (35), and their two children, Amina Bano (10) and Rizan Ahmed (5). The victims were tragically burnt alive,” reads the details available with NVI.

It reads, police initially registered an inquest under Section 174 of the CrPC and took the charred remains for post-mortem before handing them over to the family for last rites. However, the circumstances raised suspicions, prompting SSP Kishtwar to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for a detailed probe.
