To assist the locals from Watlab and adjoining villages in fight against COVID-19, Paribal Tekri RR Battalion of Watlab Sector kickstarted five day long campaign from Watlab village of Baramulla district.
The campaign involves distribution of hygiene and sanitation medical stores amongst the locals from Watlab, Zirimanz, Kiuhnus, Cherar, Kawalu and other such remote areas of Baramulla and Bandipora districts.
The overall aim of the campaign is to spread awareness about necessary precautions and preventive measures to be undertaken in a fight against COVID-19, beef up the efforts of civil administration and to provide necessary medical assistance to the locals. It also involves door to door distribution of medical kits to elderly and women. On the first day itself 257 individuals have been provided the much needed hygiene and sanitation kits.
