Ganderbal,Jan 10:Kaleem Reyaz from central kashmir’s Ganderba clinched a silver medal in the national thai boxing federation cup which held in punjab India.
The 9-year-old Kaleem Reyaz Sheikh, from manigam Ganderbal, dished out some clever performance and earned commendable results in the championship.
“This was kaleem’s best performance to date at the National level. he has so far won many medals at state and national level” informed kaleem’s coach skinder Farooq.
Kaleem Reyaz, who the silver in the tournament has made laurels in the state.
“He is doing very hard work and is playing confidently and registered some fine wins against stronger opponents” said his father Reyaz Ahmed.
9 year old had requested district administration ganderbal to start an academy in the district so that more athletes can laurel the name of state.
Kaleem is now selected to represent the state in the World thai boxing Championship 2019 to be held in Goa in febuary this year.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Dr.Piyush singla,SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal congratulated Kaleem and his parents on his impressive performance
