POONCH, AUGUST 14: District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav on Friday chaired a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting attended by the bankers and officers of the line departments to review the progress achieved under various schemes being implemented by banks in collaboration with the line departments.
During the meeting, the Lead District Manager apprised that the banks have disbursed Rs 252 crore under priority sector and Rs 278 crore under non priority sector till March,2020.
About the Kissan Credit Cards, it was informed that as many as 35098 KCCs have been issued to the farmers till date in the district.
Speaking at the meeting, the DDC asked the bankers and the officers of the line departments to make added efforts to ensure the timely scrutinization and sanctioning of cases to avoid suffering and demoralization due to frequent visits to the bank branches.
He also asked the concerned officers to generate awareness among the common masses about the various loan schemes to encourage youth to establish their own units, which would also improve the economy of the district.
The DDC also said that the need of the hour is to develop a close liaison with the general public and ensure the maximum visibility of the activities being carried out by the banks to increase people’s trust in the banks.
The meeting was attended by Zonal Head, JK Bank Jammu West, Assistant Commissioner Development, DDM NABARD, LDO RBI and concerned officers of the Line Departments.
