Pulwama, 11 Nov: As a Special Police Officer (SPO) Shabir Ahmad from Pingleena, Pulwama, passed away due to a heart attack. His sudden death has brought into focus the challenging conditions faced by SPOs in Jammu and Kashmir.
Congress District President Pulwama, Umar Jaan, has called for immediate support to Ahmad’s family and has urged the government to consider better welfare measures for SPOs, including increased salaries and enhanced job security.
“SPOs are on duty 24/7, often under challenging and high-risk conditions. The loss of one of our own is a painful reminder of the sacrifices they make. The family of Shabir Ahmad deserves support and relief in recognition of his service,” Jaan stated.
