Srinagar, April 11: A delegation of Pahari youth from border area Uri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district Sunday evening called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan here.
The delegation of four members was led by President Phari Youth Association, Naveed Bukhtiyar.
It discussed various issues pertaining to Uri like hurdles in issuance of Pahari Speaking People (PSP) certificate, lapse of recent Phari scholarship funds, lack of sports facilities, less compensation to cross-border victims, developing Uri as tourism destination and headless tehsil office for the last eight months.
Sinha assured the delegation to take all the issues on priority basis and get it resolved at the earliest. The LG also sought a report from Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole on PSP reservation to Uri youth within a week’s time.
