Pattan, December 29:The residents of Wanigam, Behrampora and Tilgam area’s of Pattan tehsil Protest against unscheduled power cuts at Power receiving station Tapper in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The Protesters alleged that they didn’t get electricity on scheduled time and said that due to the unavailability of Power their life has become miserable.

“Our students can’t study, we are dinning in dark light, PDD has made our life miserable and Pesky”, Protester alleged
He added that ” We even can’t charge our mobile phones and how can our children study online”.

Another Protester said that from 1st November unscheduled power cuts has effected our life miserably.

It’s Pertinent to mention here that earlier PDD Sub Division Pattan had removed dozens of illegal electrical appliances like heaters, boilers, geasers etc to prevent grid station from getting over loaded. But, regardless of that, PDD couldn’t provide the uninterrupted power supply.

Meanwhile, Incharge of Power Receiving Station Tapper, PDD Sub Division Pattan, on duty told protesters that even if you lodge complaint with Governor, I will not provide you even a single minute of electricity.
Farooq ah refutes the words and said “I have said that about providing the extra electricity”, but it is evident from the video what he said to protesters. He said as can be clearly seen from the video” Governor k paas jaa, mai aapko 1 minute b power nhi choduga”.

Concerned AEE PDD told CNI, I will the investigate the matter.

Protesters appealed District administration Baramulla and LG JK to look into this matter and redress their problem as soon as possible and take strict action against the said employee.(CNI)
