In continuation to drive against the drug menace in sub division Akhnoor , Police today during routine naka checking at old bridge Akhnoor, intercepted one motor cycle bearing registration number Jk02CE/9242 for checking. During frisking, 35/35 grams of Charas like narcotic substances recovered from the possessions of two persons who disclosed their names as i)Rohit Singh S/O Mukhtyar Singh R/O ward no.12 supply mohalla Akhnoor (ii)Hera Singh S/O Amrik Singh R/O Ram talai mohalla Akhnoor. Subsequently case FIR 07/2021 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act. stands regd. at P/S Akhnoor. The accused person was arrested on the spot and recovered material was seized. The action of police was highly appreciated by the general public of the area.
The recovery was made by police team of P/S Akhnoor under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Ravi Singh Parihar .
Police warned of stern action against anyone involved in drug peddling and requested the public in general to share any information regarding drug peddling in the area with Police.
