SPO’s Of J&K Police
It is imperative that the J&K government immediately address the concerns of Special Police Officers (SPOs) who have been seeking justice and attention for a long time. With thousands of SPOs and their families facing immense financial burdens and an unsustainable workload, a clear policy regarding their future is urgently needed. As SPOs play a vital role in maintaining law and order, Omar Abdullah, the LG, and the central government must prioritize their demands, including regularization and a salary hike to at least 20000, which is a basic necessity for their livelihood.
Senior police officers acknowledge the value and importance of their services, but when it comes to addressing their demands, the silence is disheartening. I’ve received numerous calls from them to highlight their genuine demands, and I’ve finally decided to shed light on their needs and struggles. It’s equally the responsibility of senior officers to prioritize their concerns.
Given that politicians must now raise concerns with the central government due to the Union territory status, addressing the issue would be a welcome relief for the Popular Government of Kashmir, as we face financial constraints and limited budget allocation in JK, considering our economic parameters.
