Srinagar, September 15: According to News agency (GNS) Gunfight breaks out between militants and government forces in Marwal area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
According to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Marwal.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.
A senior police officer told News agency GNS that the exchange of fire between the joint team and the militants is underway.
As per the sources, two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
