Srinagar, March 13:Police in a statement to media said that today at about 1333hrs Sopore Police received information about a militant crime incident at Bus Stand Sopore where militants hurled a grenade at Police Post Bus Stand.
The statement further stated that, Preliminary investigation revealed that militants had hurled a grenade at Police Post Bus Stand Sopore in which two police personnel namely Mohammad Afzal and Azad Ahmad received minor injuries.
Both the injured officials have been evacuated to nearby hospital for the treatment of their injuries.
Police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law.
Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this militant crime.
Area has been cordoned and search in the area is going on, reads the statement.
