When I treat small children suffering from these serious medical disease called end stage kidney failure , many question comes to my mind that why these young , suddenly the real hero – the donor ( Father and mother ) come forward to donate their organ ( kidney to save ) their loved child. In this case the hero is wearing the white cap – the father .
When I first saw this child – she was very weak and a wheel chair bound on dialysis, weak bones , etc . Now we are happy that she is going back happily with her real hero – her father who donated his kidney .
Pediatric kidney transplant is a challenging job and if it is Abo incompatible then it adds to the risk . God was kind with this child and our team also .
ESRD : kidney transplants treatment of choice for children , dialysis only till child is fit for surgery . We do regular Abo incompatible but we took such a young child this time . Thanks to the team
