Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at both the offices of Registrar of Companies, J&K and Ladakh located at Jammu and Srinagar. On the occasion, Gandhian ideals were discussed and specially Cleanliness was focused upon keeping in view the context of preventive and promotive health and hygiene to contain the spread of COVID 19.
Officiating ROC, Haamid Bukhari highlighted the importance of Gandhian morality & ethics and he said that relevant to Corporate Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility is the Gandhian Cardinal Value. Gandhi ji believed in the moral principle of “Private Property but Common Use”. Propertied class have a moral consciousness of assuming that they are trustees of the property they possess and beyond their individual use, they need to spare some part of their wealth for Common Use as well. That is the basic philosophy behind CSR. It is pertinent to mention that Ministry of Corporate Affairs implements CSR Under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.
On the occasion, RoC Official Raj Kumar Koul deliberated a special message on Swachhta & emphasis was laid upon to imbibe it as a long lasting habit for every aspect of life starting from Swachhta of thought to swachhta of workplaces and homes.
