The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Sh. Anshul Garg (IAS) today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review and finalise the arrangements to ensure smooth celebration of Republic Day-2021.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners(G&S), Commandant 40th BN CRPF, ACD, ACR, CMO, EXENs of Jal Shakti, R & B, PDD and Mechanical Department, DPO, ARTO and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held regarding importance of Republic Day, timing and schedule, security, sanitation & cleanliness, seating arrangements, power & water supply, illumination and decoration of the main venue, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, dais management and PA syeyem installation, prize distribution etc besides other arrangements were reviewed for ensuing celebration of National event.The concerned officers were directed to do their job meticulously for a smooth Republic Day celebration.
The DC informed that in view of adverse weather forecast and accumulation of snow in GDC(Boys) Ang, the main function shall now be organised in Dist Police Lines Anantnag where the National Flag will be unfurled by the Chief Guest followed by the parade by 6 contingents from JK Police and security forces .
It was given out that the full dress rehearsal of the programme will be held well before the National day.
It was also informed that colourful cultural programmes based on nationalism, folk & culture etc would be presented on the occasion.
The meeting was also informed that the celebration event will also be held at the Subdivision and Tehsil levels where the concerned SDMs and Tehsildars have been directed to ensure the function becomes a success.
The DC directed the concerned officers and agencies to ensure better coordination among themselves & ensure proper arrangements are in place for making the National event a grand success.
