Mla Langate Attacked and Saved By Sajad Lone & Waheed Parra
Will the National Conference support the joint resolution proposed by PDP, AIP, and others in the assembly, especially since NC’s own resolution was praised by BJP’s Amit Malviya, as highlighted by Sajad Lone today in his media address?
Waheed Parra emphasized that historically, the central government in Delhi has relied on the National Conference to legitimize and implement parliamentary decisions in Kashmir, implying that this resolution is merely a formality and an attempt to create a false appearance of consensus.
Today, the MLA from Langate was attacked by BJP members while protesting for 370, but thankfully, Sajad Lone of the People’s Conference bravely intervened to protect him, despite getting injured in the process. Three BJP MLAs also sustained minor injuries during the scuffle. Notably, National Conference members were conspicuous by their inaction, failing to support their Kashmiri MLA. The timely intervention of Sajad Lone and Waheed Parra has earned widespread praise for saving the MLA from BJP members.
