Kreeri : February 13,2021: Continuing its war against drug menace, Police party headed by SHO Police Station Kreeri while Naka checking at Nawan Mode Kreeri intercepted one person moving in suspicious circumstances. Police party signalled the person to stop which he refused and tried to flee from the spot. Due to alertness of Police party the said person was chased on tip off and with strenuous efforts it was stopped within shortly distance. On going through checking officers present were able to recover Poppy Straw (Fukki) like substance weighing 06 KG in a Gunny Bag.
The identity of the person has been ascertained as Mohd Maqbool Sheikh S/o Gh Hyder Sheikh R/o Sheer Colony Sopore who was arrested on spot.
In this connection case FIR No. 06/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Kreeri and further investigation has been initiated.
