Police says will be released soon
SRINAGAR, : Former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has urged govt of India to release the lone bread winner Hilal Ahamad of Sumbal.Mehbooba Mufti has asked authorities to cross check facts before arresting any Kashmiri youth.She said that the family is very poor and their son is the lone earning hand in the family.
Mehbooba Mufti in high time has said that don’t always label Kashmiris as militants.
A family from Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Sumbal area whose son was detained from his home on 22nd of this month has appealed through Kashmir Crown to the authorities to release their son on humanitarian basis.
However Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora, Sheikh Zulfiqar Azad said to local news agency that Hilal was detained by the Delhi Police Special Cell and not the local police.
“His own friend in Delhi has informed Delhi Police about him; else this is not any big issue. He has been detained for questioning and will be released soon,” SSP Bandipora said.
