The 75 km long karnah to chowkibal Road remained closed for traffic for the sixth consecutive day due to heavy snowfall leaving over more than 100 passengers and More than 20 trucks and tatamobiles are stranded.
As a result of closure of the Road over 100 passengers are stranded at the Chowkibal for the past six days and are demanding that Gear up work to open Chowkibal to karnah Road.
The highway was closed on 11 January due to heavy snowfall at several said a Local officer.
The men and machines of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) are working to clear the Road and make it motorable, he said.
