Thousands of J&K youth are awaiting employment from the Class IV recruitment waiting list since 2022, despite their relentless efforts to seek justice. Their voices are now being raised, demanding attention to the long-overdue publication of the waiting list, which has been stalled for years, leaving their employment aspirations uncertain.
Following the abrogation of Article 370 in J&K, the class IV recruitment drive for over 8000 youth was a significant initiative, but the failure to release the waiting list has caused concern among thousands of unemployed youth who applied. It has been over four years since the recruitment notification was issued, and the delay in releasing the waiting list is causing anxiety among aspirants. Notably, issuing a waiting list is mandated under the recruitment policy and SRO rules.
