Sopore, Oct 19 : An elderly woman, who was critically injured in a road accident at Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, succumbed to her injuries after six days at SMHS hospital on Monday.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), officials said that an 80-year-old woman identified as Mugli Begum, wife of Late Ghulam Rasool Wani was critically injured after a vehicle (Wagon R) bearing registration number JK20A-0927 hit her at Malpora Stop.

The driver, however, managed to flee from the spot, they said, adding that a case has been registered in Warpora Police Station and further investigation has been set up.

However, the injured woman who was shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar succumbed to her injuries today.
