Bandipora, Nov 01:The Horticulture Department Sunday organised a Plantation drive here at Dawar area of Gurez in north kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official said that on the occasion, the Honble Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir Madam Geeta Mittal planted fruit bearing trees in presence of Chief Horticulture and other senior Officers from Bandipora.
The official said the department will also focus on the encourage plantation of Apple, Apricot, Cherry, Walnut trees besides other traditional varieties.
He said that from today the department has started the plantation drive for the current year
Meanwhile, the registrar Genral of J&K High court, District Jusicial Magistrate Bandipora SDM Gurez and other officers were also present.
