Gurez, Mar 25 : Helicopter services in the Gurez valley of Bandipora district were suspended on Tuesday due to adverse weather conditions, leaving passengers stranded at Badugam, Izmarg, Dawar, Purana Tulail, and Niru helipads.
The area is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, further hindering travel.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that persistent rain and low visibility have rendered helicopter operations unsafe. Authorities are closely monitoring the weather and will resume flights as soon as conditions permit.
Passengers have been advised to remain updated through official channels, as the administration undertakes necessary measures to ensure their safety and well-being during this disruption.
