Srinagar, July 19 :- An elderly died in a road accident in Manigam area of Central Kashmir Ganderbal district on Friday morning.
An official told News Agency that an accident took place at Dursuma National Highway Manigam when a truck bearing registration number JK13G/1957 hit a scooty bearing registration number Jk16B/7902.
In the incident lady namely Asha Begam (70) wife of Gh Mohd Lone got seriously injured who succumbed on the spot.
He said that death body has been shifted to DH Ganderbal for medical formalities.
He added that the accused driver was arrested on the spot while the vehicle was seized.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident.
