Drug addiction is a complex and chronic brain disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is characterized by compulsive drug seeking, continued use despite harmful consequences, and long-lasting changes in the brain. It’s very unfortunate to witness the steep rise of drug addiction in valley youth. It has destroyed families, colonies and civilization. Although various measures have been put up by the government to curb the substance abuse, but it’s on rise and have destroyed the youth of JK. I urge the people of JK to take concrete steps to curb this addiction and prevent new youth from getting involved in it by looking up upon your families, steets, guiding youth to useful activities. I also urge the govt to tighten the noose on substance abuse in its most best and effective way. I appeal to public, NGOs and others report such cases to the concerned security agencies or police dept as soon as they witness one.
