The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, today conducted extensive tour of the district and reviewed snow clearance operations, restoration of essential services, status of essential commodities and healthcare services available in the district.
He visited Danganwangam, Kachdoora and other adjoining areas of the district.
He also personally monitored snowclearence operations at several rural and far-flung areas.
With regard to snow clearence operations DDC said that majority of roads have been cleared and all men and machinery are in service.
He added that snow cutters have been pressed into snowclearence operations.
During his visit DDC also interacted with people and enquired about the availibilty of essential commodities.
