Baramulla, August 20:Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs under SBM announced ‘Worlds largest cleanliness survey conducted’, in which Srinagar has been declared at 36th number .

As per sources, “Under this survekshan ,4242 cities were covered in which 5 lakhs +document evidences were captured with 1.9 crores citizen feed back collected. The survekshan was conducted on mainly three parameters that is service level progress (SLP), Direct observation and citizen feedback. A total of 1.9 crore citizens across 4,242 cities of the country participated in the survey held by the Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs.”

Commissioner SMC Mr Gazanfar Ali on the occassion has mainly applauded the role of sanitary workers in improving the ranking by being dedicated in conducting effective sanitation as well in current situation of Covid 19 pandemic.

” Appreciated the role of all the officials who worked in tandem with full Coordination to improvise upon the overall sanitation by implementing guidelines set under SBM that has eventually helped in improving the ranking well”, he added.

“With the help of our sanitary workers who work tirelessly and responsible citizens with responsive feedback we shall definately achieve best results in cleanliness to have best srinagar city ahead”, he said.
