Srinagar: The Central Government is likely to notify the long-awaited Business Rules for the Jammu and Kashmir Government in the coming days, according to sources.

The Business Rules, which are understood to be in the final stages, are expected to define the distribution of powers and the functioning of the elected government and the Lieutenant Governor under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act.

Official confirmation from the Centre is still awaited. Once notified, the rules are expected to provide greater clarity on the transaction of government business and the roles of the Chief Minister, Council of Ministers, Administrative Secretaries and the Lieutenant Governor (Kashmir Crown)
