All drowned person safe; says official

Bandipora, Dec 25 : late in the Friday evening Kashmir crown correspondent from Bandipora district recieved a call from a person who identified himself Noor Mohammed a resident of Laharwalpora area of Bandipora. The said person told that they were on way to Laharwalpora via Zalwan water channel riding a boat which sank in the midst of the channel. All the four persons drowned, 2 among them swim across while latter stuck on a tree he added.
Kashmir crown at once inform the adminstration to take necessary action to rescue the stranded duo following which the administration swung into rapid action and deputed rescue team to the spot to save the two lives strand in the fast flow of zalwan water channel.
Half an hour latter Kashmir crown received another call from the same person that they have landed safely by their own and everything is alright.
Accordingly the rescue team lead by Tehsildar, Mubashir Nazki and SHO Bandipora, Showkat Ahmad were reached the spot and make sure that all the persons are safe then returned back
However DC Bandipora said that the matter would be investigated strongly. “Why these men were out in the late hours as the area is already in sec 144 imposition, ” he said.
