Ganderbal, March 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making significant strides in strengthening its base in Ganderbal, with District President Ghulam Hassan Rather leading the charge. In a major political development, dozens of workers from the National Conference (NC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) joined the BJP in a gathering held at Chek Watalbagh, Ganderbal.

The event was attended by Asgar Rizvi, Constituency President Ganderbal, who welcomed the new entrants into the party fold. Junaid Ahmad Khatana was also invited to mark the occasion, along with several senior BJP leaders who graced the gathering with their presence.

Speaking at the event, Ghulam Hassan Rather emphasized the party’s commitment to reaching out to people at the grassroots level and strengthening its cadre in the region. He reiterated BJP’s vision for development, inclusivity, and governance, urging the new members to work towards the party’s mission in Ganderbal.

The joining of workers from opposition parties signals a shifting political landscape in the district, reflecting the growing influence of the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. The party leadership is actively working to expand its base by engaging with local communities and addressing their concerns.

This political shift in Ganderbal could have a significant impact on upcoming electoral dynamics, as the BJP continues its efforts to consolidate support and enhance its presence in the region.
