Srinagar, Mar 12:Baramulla police claimed to have recovered ‘Fukki’ from a Pheran-clad duo in Palhallan area of north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
A media handout received in this regard by GNS maintains that “IC PP Palhallan along with police party while coming from Rinji Boochu National Highway area noticed two persons wearing Pheran in a suspicious condition, coming from Trumgund towards Renji Hamrey.”
The duo, as per the statement, were asked to stop by the police party however they tried to run away towards nearby orchards. “Both of them were tactically apprehended by the police party after hectic efforts.”
On their personal search, two polythene bags containing ‘’Fukki” were recovered which they were hiding inside Pheran, the statement maintains.
Identifying the apprehended persons as Sajad Ahmad Mir resident of Bulgam and Maqsood Ahmad Dar resident of Nowpora Sopore, the statement further read that an FIR Number 44/2021 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been taken up at police station Pattan and further investigations set in motion.
