Srinagar, April 18: Students of B.Ed Special 2nd Semester are demanding that the examination scheduled from 20th April shall be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The students have claimed that their preparation for the examination has been hindered because of the pandemic.
Several students from Composite Regional Centre Bemina told that they don’t want to risk their lives and they are scared to come to college to give exams.
So far, at least 1293 people have died due to COVID-19 in Kashmir while nearly 79602 have tested positive for the virus.
The University of Kashmir has announced that the exams will be conducted from 20th April.
A student from Kashmir university said: “In the current situation, it is difficult for us to travel long distances to colleges. Our syllabus were not completed. We are requesting the authorities to postpone the exams to a suitable date.”
Another student told that many students belong to the Containment zones and This exam poses a threat to us, We may not be important to the university but we are important to our parents.”
Meanwhile Kashmir University Authorities could not be contacted for comments as they didn’t receive repeated phone calls.
