Srinagar, July 8, According to local news agency KNT: Parents of students stranded in Krigstan due to Covid-19 pandemic Wednesday appealed government to arrange a flight for their stranded loved ones and bring them to Kashmir.
Parents of these stranded students assembled in Press Enclave Srinagar and highlighted the plight of their sons stranded in Krigstan.
They told news agency KNT that their sons and daughters are locked up in their rooms while the colleges in which they study are closed. “They don’t have hostel facilities and even find it hard to fill their stomach,” the parents said.
They appealed Lieutenant Governor to arrange at least a flight for these stranded students. “We will pay from our own pocket but government should arrange a flight for our stranded loved ones,” they said.
They said that they were going through “mental anxiety” in view of the spike in Coronavirus cases.
“We are worried about the safety of our loved sons and daughters and thus seek help from the Government,” the parents told KNT.
