Srinagar, Sep 11 (NVI): J&K Apni Party Wednesday received a jolt of sorts as its provincial secretary Umar Jan tendered resignation from the Party.
Confirming his decision to NVI, Jan said he has resigned from the Apni Party and is no more associated with it.  Jan was the active member of Apni Party and was holding the post of Apni Party.
He said that even as Apni Party chief Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari is a nice person but the leaders working under him aren’t good persons with the result Apni Party couldn’t represent the people of J&K the way it was supposed to. “With the result, Apni Party got weakened,” he said.
Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari, recently told reporters that leaving parties and joining other parties is part of politics. He prayed for those leaving and joining. Ever since the Election Commission of India announced three phased elections for J&K from September 18, almost 100 leaders, activists and workers have resigned from political parties and changed their loyalties
