First time in a decade test for Driving Licence Conducted in Pattan B’la

Baramulla 05 Feb:In an appreciable Move MVD Baramulla in the intrest of general public and as a part of 32nd Road Safety month has Conducted Awareness Programme cum test for driving licence of the applicants at Railway Road Pattan and have approved Licence on spot.

Sources told that large No applicants from different villages of sub division Pattan and Tangmarg have Participated in the trial conducted by Motor Vehicles Department Baramulla, as a part of 32nd road safety month.

Sources told Current News Service that the test was conducted for the first time in a decade at Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, which was highly appreciated by people of the area for conducting test at their doorstep.

Tehsildar Pattan Sheikh Sala-ud-din, SDPO Pattan Dy. SP Zafar Mehdi,I/C SHO Pattan ASI Ab Rehman, ARTO Baramulla Mubashir Jan and inspectors of MVD Baramulla were Present during trial.

ARTO Baramulla while talking to Media told that the test for driving licence was conducted as a part of 32nd National Road Safety month at Pattan.”We will try to conduct tests for driving licence every week on Sub division level so that People can feel some sort of relief”, he added.

ARTO Mubashir Jan further said that he had also got calls from people of Uri and other areas for conducting the same programme.

Meanwhile, Locals while appreciating the goodwill gesture of ARTO Baramulla, which will really Provide Some Sort of relief to General Public and now they have to reach Pattan instead of Sopore which was really difficult for people of Tangmarg and Pattan areas.

Meanwhile SDM Pattan Syed Faheem has told CNS that on Public demands i will talk to ARTO Baramulla for Conducting Trial at Pattan twice in a month. (CNS)
