Srinagar, Feb 17: Srinagar Police in its offensive against drug peddlers, Police Party of Police Station Shergarhi during patrolling/naka checking at Dogerpatti Haftchinar stopped one Maruti Alto vehicle bearing regd. no. JK02W-0560.
Two persons were apprehended, who disclosed their identity as,
1. Adil Rashid Bhat
S/o Ab Rashid Bhat
R/o Usman Abad Bemina Srinagar and
2. Naveed Anjum Khan
S/o Shaheen Khan
R/o Watal Kadal Safakadal Srinagar
During their personal search 24 Small green colour cut polythene contain 12 grms of Heroin like substance was recovered from them and the said vehicle seized on spot. Cash of Rs 6270/= Mobile Phone 02 No’s, ID Cards have also been recovered from them.
In this regard Case FIR No. 08/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Shergarhi against the accused persons and investigation is going on.
Locals of the area have hailed the Police action & are expecting that this type of action against drug menace shall continue in future also.
