A 60-year-old man from Tangmarg area of Baramulla district died at a hospital here on Tuesday afternoon, taking the fatality count due to the virus in J&K to 195.

Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura told GNS that the sexagenarian had “bilateral community acquired pneumonia (CAP) with ARDS with BHP”.

“The patient was admitted in medical emergency on July 13 as a suspected case. His sample was taken on the same day. The patient was very sick and expired on July 14 at 4:00 a.m.,” he added.
