Anantnag 08 October 2020 :Anantnag Police Continuing it’s War against drug peddlers arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession. Police party from Police Station Ashmuqam headed by SHO Ashmuqam was on patrolling and they intercepted a person namely Nisar Ahmad Dar S/O Gh. Mohd Dar Resident of Dasspora Waghama at Mirpora Salia and recovered two bags containg about 10 Kgs of Poppy Straw from his possession.
In this connection, Case FIR Number 108/2020 under section 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Ashmuqam and investigation into the matter has been taken up.
The people of the area in general and the senior citizens and youth in particular have appreciated the Police action.
