Bandipora:- A free medical camp was organized by 3rd Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Chapran Village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday.

An official said, 3rd BN CRPF under civic action programme, On Saturday organised a Free Medical Camp at Chapran village of Bandipora keeping in view the change of weather conditions in Kashmir valley.

Commanding Officer 3rd BN CRPF Rakesh Sharma while interacting with media said that Our medical camp is a means of reaching out to the general public. Our battalion will conduct this program at five locations across the Bandipora.

We are providing treatment for common diseases, seasonal illnesses, and also if there is a need to involve expert, we are providing that, he added.

A local resident , after getting a check-up, said, We are very thankful for this camp. The medicines are quite expensive outside. We have to spend Rs 1000-2000 on them. The doctors are also very good. People are getting check-ups done quite smoothly.

Doctor consultation and free medicines were provided to patients who appreciated the efforts of CRPF for reaching out to farflung villages.

Earlier, the Camp was inaugurated by Senior local resident Mohammad Alam Kasana in presence of Commanding Officer 3rd BN CRPF Rakesh Sharma and Second in command, Kailash Nath in which large number of local people attended the camp.
