Continuing its drive against violators in the north kashmir’s Bandipora district Arto Bandipora Suhaib wani ( KAS) and team on Saturday challaned at least 30 vehicles for not following the related SOPs and advisories.
While talking to ARTO Bandipora , He said that On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora a drive has been initiated in the entire district to curb the offences like overloading and overcharging of fares.
Continuing the drive today , more than 150 vehicles were checked by the team in the areas of Sumbal , Hajin and Naidkhai areas of Bandipora . Around 30 violators were fined for overloading, overcharging of fares ,driving without seat belts and plying of vehicles in contravention of Registration Certificates and route permits.
Speaking on the occasion, the ARTO warned the violators of strict legal action while appealing people to cooperate with the administration.
He urged to follow all the requisite advisories issued with the purpose to control the spread of infection.
He also said that the “Passengers should inform us about overcharging and we will take strict action against transporters,”.
Earlier Arto Bandipora led a drive within the municipal areas of District headquarter and challaned about 35 vehicles under the same offences.
while praising the action of Arto Bandipora passengers appealed Arto Bandipora to continue the drive in future to curb the offences like overloading and overcharging by drivers.
