16 vehicles challaned for over charging in Bandipora, Docs of 6 others seized

Bandipora, Oct 09:Authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday challaned at least 16 vehicles and seized documents of six passenger vehicles for overcharging and others.

A team lead by ARTO Bandipora Suhaib Wani conducted extensive checking on different inter-district routes and checked more than 70 vehicles wherein 16 passenger carrying vehicles of different types were challaned for over charging and violation of other rules.

Besides 16 vehicles documents of 6 other vehicles were also seized for plying without high security registration plates.

Meanwhile, ARTO Bandipora warned the violators of strict legal action while appealing the common masses to report the same office for any kind of complaint there of .

While talking to ARTO , said that the people should inform the ARTO’s office about overcharging or any other issue and the violators will be dealt strictly under law.
