November 19: The 10th District wushu Championship is being organised at SK Stadium Bandipora on Thursday November 19.
The 2 days championship was organised by District Wushu Association Bandipora under the guidelines of Wushu Association of J&K.
The championship kickstarted on November 19 and in it around 230 players of all age catagory from different parts of District Bandipora participated. The competition was held in different categories in both boys and girls sections. Commanding officer 3BN Mr Rakesh Sharma was chief guest on the occasion and kickstarted the event while Mr Arsulan habib, patron WUSHU Association of Bandipore was Guest of honour on the occassion.
Chief guest appreciated the efforts of District wushu association Bandipora for organising district championship and following all the COVID-19 guidelines. He also appreciated the efforts of participants coming from different corners of the district for making this event possible despite the chilling morning cold. He also congratulated wushu association Of J&K for its efforts in making WUSHU popular in every part of J&K.
General Secretary District wushu Association Bandipore Mr Faisal Ali during his welcome address congratulated all the participants, officials and members of district WUSHU association of Bandipore for making this event a success. He thanked his coach Mr kuldeep Handoo, Dronacharya Awardee and National Wushu coach of India for always supporting in promotion of Wushu in district Bandipore.
