A forest team led by Range officer Rajwar on Thursday evening recovered 40 feet of illicit timber from Baderkal village of handwara in North Kashmir’s kupwara district.

Forest officials said a team of forest official’s head by Mohd Aslam, Manzoor Ahmad and other officers from forest range Rajwar on a specific input seized an illict timber from Baderkal handwara.

Meanwhile in this regard a FIR has been registered in police post Zachaldara and the accused has been identified as Mohd Ashraf Ganie son of Ghulam Rasool Ganie and his associate a resident of Baderkal handwara.

Meanwhile, locals hailed the efforts of Range officer Rajwar who has started massive operations against timber smugglers.
