Handwara, Dec 12: Centre for Research on Public Policy in its handout issued to the press has condoled the demise of Adv Abdul Gani Chowgli, who was commonly known as Adv Aaen Gaen Chowgli, died after a brief illness at his home today.

While paying rich tributes to the lifelong services rendered by Aaen Gaen Chowgli, Chairman, CRoPP, Adv Abdul Majid Banday termed his demise as a loss for the whole humanity in general and legal fraternity in particular. “He was a man of integrity who lived his life as a pious muslim and a true human being” said Mr Banday.

Vice- Chairman, CRoPP, Adv Mir Imran said, ” with Adv Aaen Gaen Chowgli we have a lost a friend of humanity who was always ready to help his people. Such people are rarely found in our society these days”. “We will miss this legal luminary for the days, months and years to come”, added Mr Mir.


General Secretary, CRoPP, Adv Najemu Saqib voiced, ” Adv A G Chowgli was a man of great qualities. He was a torch bearer and a role model for todays young generation. He lived a disciplined life and was always available for downtrodden people of our society. With him we have lost a great friend of humanity and a true asset”.

Spokesperson, CRoPP, Mr Tauseef Ahmad War said, ” with Adv Chowgli, we have lost a great neighbour, a true human being and a man of calibre. He was loved by one and all. Despite being born at an age when material has taken over everything, Adv Aaen Gaen Chowgli, lived a principled and disciplined life.” He was a self- made person, said Mr War.
