Today on 02-12-2021, CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has organized a one-day workshop to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, Jammu University.
Shri. Amit Sharma- JKAS, Secretary to Government, Information Technology Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir was chief guest of the event. Hailing the achievements of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) in extending various e-services and access to technology to villages and rural areas of the country, Secretary to Government Information Technology Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Amit Sharma said, “Jammu & Kashmir is inching towards a digital revolution and the CSCs are the main actors of this development”.
While having the detailed discussion today regarding the achievements of CSC-SPV, Shri. Shahnawaz Rashid, State Head of CSC-SPV J&K briefed Secretary IT about the services of CSC-SPV. He said The CSCs across the country are doing well by providing high quality and cost-effective video, voice and data content and services, in the areas of e-governance, education, health, telemedicine, entertainment as well as other private services. A highlight of the CSCs is that it will offer web-enabled e-governance services in rural areas, including Government to Citizen (G2C), Business to Citizens (B2C), application forms, UIDAI Services, Pan Card, Passport, Various Certificates, and utility payments such as electricity, telephone, Mobile, Electricity and water bills.
While listening to the achievements done by CSC-SPV in other parts of the Country he assured that he will take full measure to make this scheme a great success in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. State Head CSC-SPV is hopeful that under the leadership of Shri Amit Sharma, Secretary Information Technology Department, CSC-SPV will extend all the UT G2C Services through Digital Seva Portal.
While addressing the VLEs/Participants, Shri Amit Sharma has assured that he will work very hard to bring all the online services of UT under one umbrella and assured that all the services will be delivered through Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). He further added that VLEs are the back bone of IT Department and assured them that department will do all the efforts to make the viable and stable.
Shri. Amit Sharma has also awarded the top performing VLEs of Jammu Division and distributed certificates among the beneficiaries. The workshop was attended by 300+ VLEs.
